BETIS SUPPORTS ARLINGTON, VA FOOD PANTRY

Betis employees from the Arlington, Virginia office participated in the monthly food pantry where local farmers donate produce to needy recipients. Our Team bagged and distributed over 600 pounds of potatoes and several hundred ears of corn to more than 80 people.

Betis and Tall Ships Cape Charles

Betis Group recently participated in the Tall Ships Cape at Charles event, a branch of OpSail 2012. Booth attendees Elizabeth Waggoner and Maureen Pettine enjoyed the opportunity to field questions about who Betis is and what Betis does with those who stopped to purchase ice cream and ice water, which was donated by Betis to help our Wounded Warriors fundraising effort. Betis Group’s participation in this festival was marked by accepting donations for the Wounded Warriors Project, which was a success thanks to the participation of festival attendees, Betis Group employees and Cape Charles business contributions.
A commemoration of the War of 1812, OpSail 2012 is a Bicentennial event that is celebrated in Cape Charles, Norfolk, New Orleans, Baltimore and Boston and will continue through the year 2015 in ports around the country and Canada. Tall Ships Cape Charles presented the opportunity to celebrate United States maritime history and educate young and old alike on the contributions the Navy has made to our nation’s freedom
